TULSA, OK – Academy Sports + Outdoors Pro Bobby Lane is the 2022 Major League Fishing REDCREST Champion. Lane secured the victory by catching 10 scorable bass for a total weight of 29 pounds, 14 ounces, including his biggest bass weighing 6 pounds, 3 ounces, on Championship Round Sunday to earn his first MLF REDCREST trophy.
Lane’s Championship Sunday round success came after a slow start to begin the morning. In the final period, he boated several key fish to move up the leaderboard in the last couple hours. Trailing fellow Academy Sports + Outdoors pro Jacob Wheeler as time ticked down, Lane was able to catch a 2 pound scorable bass in the final minutes to give him the win.
