The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service earned a first-place award for the book, America’s Bountiful Waters, from the Association for Conservation Information at its annual conference in July. ACI is comprised public affairs staff–writers, editors, videographers, photographers and media specialists from fish and wildlife agencies from the states, Canadian provinces, Federal agencies, and conservation organizations.
America’s Bountiful Waters commemorates 150 years fisheries conservation in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. You will read stories about trout, bass, salmon, pike, muskie—and a few you have never heard of—all crafted by the USFWS fish biologists who know them best. America’s Bountiful Waters is biography, memoir, natural history, and cultural history supported by dramatic photography and compelling historic images from the National Fish and Aquatic Conservation Archives.
