ACE Reauthorization Act Introduced in U.S. House of Representatives 

On the heels of its passage in the U.S. Senate last month, the America’s Conservation Enhancement (ACE) Reauthorization Act was introduced by Representatives Rob Wittman (R-VA), Debbie Dingell (D-MI), Jen Kiggans (R-VA) and Mike Thompson (D-CA). The bipartisan legislation includes many provisions supporting the sportfishing industry and recreational anglers.

Guyas to Testify Before House Natural Resources Committee 

This Thursday, ASA’s Southeast Fisheries Policy Director, Martha Guyas, will testify before the House Natural Resources Committee on the importance of accurate data collection for proper management and conservation of marine fisheries. Following the announcement of the single-day South Atlantic red snapper season, she will focus on how the lack of credible data is harming recreational anglers and the sportfishing industry.
