The Coastal Conservation Association of California (CCA California) will offer three great ways to join or renew memberships during the popular Bart Hall Fishing Tackle and Boat Show at the Long Beach Convention Center, which takes place earlier in the season than ever, January 25-28, 2024.
“CCA CAL serves as a powerful advocacy force in the never-ending battle against outside special interest groups that want to close access to coastal anglers,” says Wayne Kotow, Executive Director of CCA California.
“At the same time, CCA CAL works tirelessly to push regulators and legislators to remedy the real issues affecting our marine ecosystems, such as pollution, urban run-off, toxic waste and ocean-exploitation, and stop blaming anglers,” Kotow adds “Together we will succeed, and that’s why it is so important for everyone to join CCA CAL.”
CCA CAL will offer a choice of three enhanced-value membership packages, including:
Annual Membership to CCA CAL, CCA CAL T-shirt, and CCA CAL tote bag with tackle and goodies inside ($70 value), just $50
STAR SHOW PACKAGE
Regular Show Package, plus entry into the 2024 STAR Tournament and entry into the STAR Tournament Early Bird Drawing ($90 value), just $80
LIFE MEMBERSHIP SHOW PACKAGE
Regular Show Package, plus AFTCO tackle bag with new AFTCO jigs, Engel 19-quart Drybox, and entry into the 2024 STAR Tournament ($1,500 value), just $1,000
The Bart Hall Show in Long Beach will mark the launch of early bird signups for CCA CAL’s much-anticipated STAR Tournament Series, which will span the entire coast of California. The STAR Series will start on Memorial Day weekend 2024 and run through Labor Day 2024 with a host of eligible species. Anglers will use the free Fishing Chaos app to easily register a catch and facilitate live releases, if they choose.
“The series is open to party boat, private boat and shore anglers alike, helping ensure enormous participation,” says Chris Wheaton, chair of the CCA CAL STAR Series Committee. “Our goal is for this to become the biggest saltwater fishing event in the state of California.”
