Fish Art Contest Educator of the Year Award

WHITE BEAR LAKE, MN- Educators are encouraged to enter for the 2022 Art of Conservation, Fish Art Contest Educator of the Year Award. Named in honor of Mr. Richard M. Hart, the award recognizes the critical role teachers play with connecting youth to conservation. Winners of this year’s award will receive a $1,000 reward for classroom supplies and a stipend for facilitating outdoor experiences with students.

March 31st is the deadline for students and educators to enter the Fish Art Contest. Educators can apply for the Educator of the Year Award or be nominated by fellow educators, students, parents, or staff.

Criteria:

  • Educator must encourage Fish Art Contest participation in their classroom, home, or art studio.
  • Educator must actively encourage or facilitate outdoor experiences like fishing and outdoor, nature-based, activities.

Prizes include:

  • Limited edition “Richard M. Hart Educator of the Year” Fish Art Print
  • $1,000 Amazon gift card for educational supplies
  • $900 stipend toward a Fishing or Aquatic Education Seminar / Field Trip for classroom
