Free Fishing Weekend is June 6-7. This is an opportune time to attend a fishing clinic or community event and get on the water. During Free Fishing Weekend, residents and nonresidents can fish without a fishing license, inland trout stamp or Great Lakes salmon stamp.
Remember all other fishing regulations still apply during this special weekend. This includes bag limits, size limits and species restrictions.
Take time to review the fishing regulations as part of event planning. Make note of season dates and exceptions. These vary by species and waterbody.
