The Gulf of Mexico greater amberjack recreational fishing season reopens on September 1. It’s critical that anglers keep an eye out for greater amberjack tagged as part of the Greater Amberjack Count. Fishermen who catch a conventionally-tagged greater amberjack, report their recapture information, and return the tag(s) to the research team will receive a $250 reward!
