Charleston, SC – Huk® performance fishing gear is committed to designing clothing for the hardcore angler, and no angler embodies that commitment more than Brandon Lester. This past weekend, Brandon reeled in his first win at the Elite Series tournament at the Whataburger Bassmaster Elite at Pickwick Lake. With a four-day total of 20 bass that weighed in at 86 lbs. and 1 oz., Brandon finished with almost 6 pounds more than any of the nine other pros who made the final-day cut.
“Being on familiar water helps me narrow my focus and boost my confidence,” Lester said. He found a particular spot during practice that replenished daily and provided the bulk of his catch. On Sunday, his winning strategy unfolded as he boated 17 pounds in the first 20 to 30 minutes.
“I can’t even put this into words,” Lester said. “It’s just a lot of hard work coming to fruition. People don’t realize how much work we put into this. I spent countless hours here from 2015 to 2020. I’d come over seven or eight times a year, and it’s a two-hour drive from my house.”
Lester relies on Huk’s clothing to keep him cool and comfortable on the water. From shirts, pants, outerwear, rainwear, and footwear, Huk has anglers covered no matter the season or pursuit.
“We are very excited about this big win for Brandon and his family and are confident that he and other BASS anglers like him will continue to be solid ambassadors for our sport and brand,” said Chris Russell, Vice President of Marketing for Marolina Outdoors.
