Ladies Let’s Go Fishing University in South Florida Feb. 26

The popular “Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing!” University will conduct a freshwater fishing seminar with guided fishing on Saturday, Feb. 26 at Bass Pro Shops, Dania Beach, FL from 9 am to 3 pm. Hosted by the nonprofit Ladies, Let’s Go Fishing Foundation, the educational event offers classroom instruction, conservation, hands-on fishing activities, networking, a guided fishing experience from land for bass and other species as well as gifts. The featured speaker is Capt. Brian Leibowitz.

Perfect for women, men and teens who want to learn techniques for targeting Peacock Bass and other freshwater species, the program offers rod and reel basics, lure usage, casting techniques, fish retrieval, fish release, strategy and conservation, followed by hands-on fishing skill practice for rod rigging, spin casting, releasing, fish fighting techniques and more. After lunch will be an all-release fishing experience from the shore of a private lake known for its elusive peacock bass, as well as networking.

Equipment and bait are provided. Attendance is limited to 20 people to enable social distancing guidelines. Bass Pro Shops is located at 200 Gulf Stream Way, Dania Beach, FL 33004.

Registration of $79 Regular Entry, $89 regular entry includes instruction, use of equipment, hands-on training, guided fishing from land, bait, networking and gifts worth $30.
