Tulsa, Okla. – Lowrance®, a world-leader in fishing electronics since 1957, is pleased to congratulate Lowrance pro angler Ryan Salzman on his first Major League Fishing (MLF) Bass Pro Tour win at General Tire Stage Five on Watts Bar Lake in Spring City, Tenn., June 4-9, 2022.
Equipped with the Lowrance Ultimate Fishing System, including HDS LIVE 12 displays, ActiveTarget® Live Sonar, Active Imaging™ 3-in-1 and Ghost® Trolling Motor, Salzman brought in 13 bass totaling 24 pounds, 13 ounces in the Championship Round to bring home the $100,000 prize.
“I could not have won this event without my Lowrance ActiveTarget and Ghost Trolling Motor,” said Salzman. “I held my current the entire time using my Ghost, which is super tough and durable, and I was able to see fish out to 80 feet with ActiveTarget. The Ultimate Fishing System is so efficient, and everything worked flawlessly.”
The Alabama native joined the tour in February and this event was his first time qualifying for the Championship Round. Other career highlights include four Phoenix Bass Fishing League wins, a Top 10 finish in the Forrest Wood Cup, and he finished third in the Angler of the Year race on the Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit in 2021.
Of the five Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour Stages held in 2022, Lowrance Pro Anglers have finished in the top spot four times, in addition to the 2022 Redcrest Championship won by Lowrance Pro Bobby Lane.
