Major League Fishing’s B&W Trailer Hitches Heavy Hitters Special Presented By Bass Pro Shops On Smith Mountain Lake To Air Sunday On CBS

Benton, KY – Time to warm up the recliner and stockpile snacks for Sunday. And, once again, it’s not for football. This week’s must-watch action comes straight from the water.

On Sunday, Dec. 7, Major League Fishing (MLF)’s B&W Trailer Hitches Heavy Hitters Presented by Bass Pro Shops on Virginia’s Smith Mountain Lake will premiere nationwide on CBS and Paramount+ from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. ET OR 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET, depending on the local NFL lineup.

The six-day all-star event, hosted by Visit Franklin County and Visit Virginia’s Blue Ridge, featured 30 of the top pros from the Bass Pro Tour battling for more than $500,000 in total payouts. Heavy Hitters is known for its unique “double jackpot” format – a $100,000 championship prize along with massive Berkley Big Bass Bonuses of $10,000, $30,000, and a jaw-dropping $100,000 for the biggest bass in the Championship Round.

The CBS special will bring fans inside the defining moments of the week – the momentum swings, the strategy shifts, the heartbreaks and clutch hooksets that shaped the final day. You’ll see the angler who rose from the pack and captured the Heavy Hitters title, and the pro who connected with a single life-changing bass – for the second time – to claim the six-figure Big Bass Bonus.

With star power from across the Bass Pro Tour and a lake that delivered drama from the first cast to the last, this year’s Heavy Hitters is a must-watch hour of high-stakes fishing. Tune in Sunday and relive every big bite, big moment and big check.
