March PFMC 2022 Council Meeting

This announcement is in response to multiple questions we’ve recently received regarding the March 2022 Council meeting, and plans for in-person versus remote attendance. Recent questions have indicated there is a lack of clarity about the hybrid manner of the March Council meeting and the degree to which we will be able to accommodate in-person attendance. As indicated in earlier correspondence and announcements, our plans for the March meeting will accommodate in-person attendance for:

  •  Council members
  • Salmon Advisory Sub-panel members
  • Salmon Technical Team members
  • Tribal co-managers and advisors
  • Council staff

Arrangements have been made for other Advisory Body members and members of the public to participate in the Council meeting and Advisory Body meetings remotely, as has been done thus far throughout the pandemic. The limited number of in-person attendees is one of the measures we are taking to minimize COVID risks. Therefore, we kindly request that members of the public and Advisory Body members not listed above make plans to participate in next week’s meeting remotely. Instructions for doing so can be found on our website and on the March Council meeting page. If you have questions about how best to connect remotely, please contact me or any member of my staff.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to come out of our pandemic and get back to a more regular setting for our Council meetings.
