Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management Division of Fish and Wildlife staff stocked around 800 fingerling Northern pike into Worden Pond (South Kingstown RI) this week. These pike were obtained as fry back in March, at approximately one centimeter in length, thanks to New Jersey’s Hackettstown Fish Hatchery. They were raised to 4-5 inches in length before being stocked out. This is part of the effort to continue Rhode Island’s Northern Pike program and provide an exciting fishing opportunity for anglers.
