PRADCO Fishing has reached an agreement with British brand owner and wholesaler Fishing Matters to be its official distributor for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Fishing Matters, based in Somerset, U.K., is well known for its hook brands: Cox & Rawle, Partridge of Redditch and SPRITE. PRADCO, based in Fort Smith, Arkansas in the U.S., is well known for its famous fishing lure brands, which include Heddon, Bomber, Cotton Cordell, Rebel, YUM, BOOYAH, Bobby Garland and many others.
“PRADCO’s brands are a strategic fit for our business,” said Mark Hamnett, Managing Director of Fishing Matters. Hamnett who lived and worked in the U.S. for many years, began collecting Heddon Lures, and has a good knowledge of PRADCO’s many brands and its products.
“Mark clearly understands where our brands fit in the UK landscape, both in saltwater and freshwater markets,” said Bruce Stanton, Vice President and General Manager of PRADCO Fishing. “We are very fortunate to be working with him and his team.”
Fishing Matters has been distributing fishing products in the UK since 2005. PRADCO was founded in 1962, and the oldest brand in its portfolio – Heddon – was founded in 1894.
