Rapala “Delivery” Video Visits South Carolina Low Country

The Second Episode in The Delivery video series from Rapala® Explores the Fish-Catching Power of the Rapala® X-Rap® Long Cast Shallow in South Carolina’s Low Country.

X-Rap Long Cast Shallow vs. South Carolina’s giant redfish, renowned for both their size and fight. Who do you think will win this contest?

If you have any doubt, check out the second episode of The Delivery, a three-part video series from Rapala that focuses on one lure from the Rapala line-up and its ability to catch multiple species of fish.

In the first episode of the second season of The Delivery, the X-Rap Long Cast Shallow took on the hard-hitting albacore tuna running off Martha’s Vineyard near Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The second episode features Captain Mike Able, of Haddrell’s Point Tackle and Supply Fishing Team, who takes the X-Rap Long Cast Shallow on an inshore redfish fall adventure that pulls up big reds swimming in as little as 6 in. of water to 20 feet.

The X-Rap Long Cast Shallow is a shallow-running model designed for extreme casting distances in the most demanding conditions. Built heavy and tough with super strong VMC® single hooks, the X-Rap Long Cast Shallow is the perfect solution for aggressive saltwater predators. It can be fished with a fast, steady retrieve for a snaking, wobbling action with minimal resistance or, it can be jerked to walk-the-dog just under the surface with the legendary X-Rap® Slashbait® action.

“The reds in this part of the country have the most pulling power of any inshore fish,” said Capt. Able. “When I received the delivery of the X-Rap Long Cast Shallow to the test in the mail, I couldn’t wait to put it to the test.”

In The Delivery, Able and crew hook up with some truly giant redfish. “First off, I was impressed with the vast array of color choices,” Able said. “But second, the in-line J hooks on this lure – you get such a good hook up. Plus, these hooks are less damaging to the fish and easier to get out for a quicker release.”

At the end of the day, the X-Rap Long Cast Shallow delivered plenty of smiles all around.

“I love taking people fishing,” said Able. “I love to teach. I love that every day is different and is a challenge. And most of all, I love to see the smiles on people’s faces, especially when they catch a new personal best.”
