On Friday, Jan. 29 at 2 p.m., CCA Florida and the Duke Energy Mariculture Center will, yet again, continue combatting the declining redfish population by releasing 2,000 (8 to 12 inch), hatchery-reared juvenile redfish at the newly expanded Robinson Preserve in Manatee County.
Since 2018, the partners have released more than 36,000 redfish across Florida’s coastal areas, and next week’s event is a continuation of their combined efforts.
Volunteers are encouraged to participate. The release will be held at 2 p.m. at 10299 9th Ave. NW (South Entrance, “The Expansion”) in Bradenton.
