Our educators and biologists are continuing to offer a series of online programs throughout the year. Each program will last about 45-60 minutes with live chat options for an interactive participant experience.
Fish Handling 101
Thursday, April 15th, 6:00pm*
Whether you practice catch and release voluntarily or in order to follow the rules and regulations, a large number of the fish you land will ultimately be released. By using proper fish handling techniques, you can ensure that more of those released fish survive and that local fish populations will be healthy into the future.
We’ll discuss the best practices for hooking, landing, and releasing fish in our coastal waters and also discuss the techniques and regulations related to using descending devices in the deep water snapper/grouper fishery.
If you can’t attend the live broadcast, you can view a recording after the presentation using the registration link. Check out all of our past webinars here.
