All the action of the fresh, exciting season 6 of Saltwater Underground with Nick Honachefsky is set to fire off, airing in Q1 2026 on ESPN2, Discovery Channel, Sportsman Channel and will debut the new season on Waypoint TV on January 2nd at 9 PM.
“Saltwater Underground continues to shine the light on the colorful lifestyles, prolific fishing destinations and diverse fisheries often overlooked in traditional fishing outlets; gleaning inside knowledge from a variety of salty captains showcasing their arenas and tactics on a one-on-one personal level,” says Honachefsky. “The varied scope of the show allows for a multitude of eclectic personalities to flourish as we navigate different saltwater playgrounds, learning how to fish effectively and educating on tips, tactics and of course, how to eat and drink well.”
The new season of Saltwater Underground will explore trophy sheepshead fishing in New Jersey, Florida Keys fishing for slab permit, drag-ripping bonefish, high-flying sailfish, monster mutton snapper and more. Side trips and culinary cuisine featured to Pennekamp State park, Big Pine Key Deer refuge, Legendary Hogfish Bar & Grill, Hemingway’s Home and more keep the viewer entertained and engaged. Nick Honachefsky has been a professional sportfishing writer and editor for over 25 years, traveling the world’ fishing destinations, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to the viewer.
“One unique aspect of this season is that coming from New Jersey and fishing the Keys, I believe it’s a different perspective to show how anglers from out of the area can effectively plan and execute a vacation trip to the Keys for the maximum experience. Join us for some must-see TV,” beckons Honachefsky.
