Spy Pole™ Mount Offers *Advanced Sonar* Control

Wire Brief

Garmin has launched the Spy Pole motorized mount, a wireless system that independently maneuvers LiveScope and GT360UHD sonar transducers apart from the trolling motor's direction. Paired with GT360UHD, it captures OneVü 360-degree sonar imaging up to a football-field radius, viewable in a single power cycle, with LiveScope overlay for composite 3D views. SpyLink syncs Spy Pole with a compatible Force trolling motor; SpyLock holds position on a target; SpyScan oscillates to sweep an area. Spy Pole is available in 42" and 49" sizes through Garmin dealers (mount sold separately, retail price not disclosed).

For anglers wanting better integration between their sonar, chartplotter and trolling motor controls, the recently introduced Spy Pole motorized mount from Garmin may be the solution they’re looking for.

Spy Pole allows users to precisely and wirelessly maneuver LiveScope™ and GT360UHD sonar transducers — independently of the trolling motor’s direction — to bring an expanded view of the underwater world to live-scanning sonar.

With a LiveScope transducer attached to Spy Pole, anglers get a super-detailed live view of what’s happening in the depths below. Adding GT360UHD lets them capture OneVü™ sonar, 360-degree bird’s-eye imaging of a large underwater area beneath the boat, without the need for constant scans. Up to a football-field size area of sonar imagery can be saved, viewable in a single power cycle. Plus, LiveScope sonar imagery can be overlaid on the OneVü 360 sonar page for a composite view in 3D. This integration helps anglers more clearly identify bottom structure, composition and habitat where they’re likely to find and catch fish.
