Episode 3 of Saltwater Underground with Nick Honachefsky airing this week and next showcases the wildly explosive Fall Run of striped bass along the New Jersey surf in what is one of the only national fishing shows to capture the essence of surf fishing on camera. “The die-hard surf anglers of the Northeast are a different bunch,” says Honachefsky. “Jersey’s surf striper run this fall was unparalleled with bass blowing up bait schools around the clock. The action was like none other I’ve experienced in decades and we have it all on camera.” The episode follows Honachefsky and a select bunch of characters chasing bass via beach buggy along the sands, casting and blasting away at thousands of stripers as they feed aggressively in the churning waters. “If you’ve ever wanted to see first hand what the excitement of surf fishing is all about, I would tune in.”
