Tread Lightly!, the premier nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and encouraging stewardship of America’s lands and waterways, appointed a new Chairman, four new members to its board of directors and re-elected four previously appointed directors.
“We’d like to welcome our new board members and thank our current members for their continued service to the outdoor recreation industry,” said Matt Caldwell, Tread Lightly!’s Executive Director. “Our board of directors and advisors are vital to the success of our organization and help us achieve our mission of promoting responsible outdoor recreation through education and stewardship. We look forward to growing our impact with their advisement.”
The re-elected directors include, Joel Pedersen, Director of Lands and Policy with the National Wild Turkey Federation, Kristin Golliher, founder and CEO of Wildrock Public Relations and Marketing, Jeff Nasi, SVP Sales and Marketing with MotoAmerica, and Jon Lee Business Development Lead with BP.
One new board member, David Behlings, Senior Product Accessories Specialist at Kawasaki, will fill the remainder of newly-vacant board position. Three new members, Matt Martelli Founder, Mad Media and CEO, Off Road Racer and The Mint 400, Amy Granat, Managing Director of CORVA and Bethany Dudley, Product Strategy at Apple, were voted to fulfill three-year terms.
Tread Lightly! also solidified its executive committee with the election of its officers. Newly appointed as Board Chairman is Harold Phillip, BFGoodrich Global General Manager — Michelin North America, Inc. Tyler Ruby, Sr. Director, Customer and Technical Service & LATAM with Webasto was re-elected as vice-chairman, Jon Lee of BP and Christine Jourdain, Executive Director of the American Council of Snowmobile Associations were also re-elected as the Board’s Secretary and Treasurer respectively.
“I look forward to leading the board and working with Tread Lightly! to continue its important work of keeping public land open and motorized recreation accessible,” said Phillips. “Thank you to the current and new board members for their welcome and support as I begin my term.”
Representatives from the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Army Corps of Engineers and National Park Service also serve as advisors on the Tread Lightly! Board of Directors.
