With kids, and even adults new to fishing, taking them to places we love and showing them how much fun and enjoyable fishing can be creates a curiosity and a desire to imitate and replicate that experience.
I recently guided a couple who have spent time in the desert southwest and adore that landscape. But taking them to some of my favorite native trout fisheries high in the mountains of Colorado, lit a fire under them to be fascinated with these landscapes and what lives within them as well.
