The Association of Collegiate Anglers recently announced its collegiate All-Academic Team presented by Yamaha during it’s angler and sponsor appreciation banquet at the 21st Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship. The 2025-26 campaign marks the second season in which this prestigious academic honor has been awarded.
The recipient of the 2026 Top Academic All-American presented by Yamaha is Chase Rogers who competes for the Top 25 ranked University of South Carolina – Union. For this award, on behalf of both Yamaha and the ACA, he receives a $2,000 scholarship.
Chase was originally named to the ACA’s collegiate All-Academic Team presented by Yamaha during the CrushCity Hartwell Slam presented by Sufix this past March. Attending USC-Union, Chase is a senior majoring in Business/Organizational Leadership. This spring, Chase received the Palmetto College Distinguished Scholar Award. This recognition is a credit to his academic success, along with consistently demonstrating professionalism and preparedness.
“During my time in college, I balanced tournament fishing, academics, work, and community involvement while earning my bachelor’s degree in business and graduating Magna Cum Laude,” said Rogers. “Maintaining a strong academic performance while competing in tournaments requires discipline, time management, and dedication, and those are qualities I have carried into every area of my life.”
Along with the Academic All-American presented by Yamaha, three more anglers were announced as nominees for the All-Academic Team presented by Yamaha. Here are those three recipients:
Kase Kramer – Tarleton State University
Daniel Gallagher – Northwestern State University
Drew Kuhnle – Lander University
