Regional Habitat Biologist

You would coordinate with a team of wildlife management professionals to oversee regional impact analysis activities, which includes building relationships with local, state and federal partners to plan projects that improve or mitigate impacts to wildlife habitats. Other duties would include assisting the planning and implementation of large-scale habitat restoration projects for big game and other wildlife species. You would also become a regional expert on local water rights, specifically the water delivery and supply challenges that impact local wildlife populations and habitats.

Habitat/Impact Analysis Biologist

Become an advocate for wildlife as a habitat/impact analysis biologist for the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. Review, analyze and comment on development projects that have the potential to impact wildlife or their habitats. Negotiate methods to avoid, minimize or mitigate these impacts. Assist in managing wildlife management areas in the central region by writing habitat management plans, planning and implementing habitat improvement projects, performing maintenance activities, monitoring conservation easements and coordinating rights-of-way and special use permit applications.

Office Specialist II

The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is seeking an office specialist to assist in the front-office operations of its regional office in Springville.

This position is the first point-of-contact for the public — the person who answers phones and greets walk-in customers.  You will answer questions regarding hunting and fishing information, including fees, rules, laws, policies and decisions. You are also responsible for over-the-counter sales of licenses, permits and certificates of registration while ensuring all customers are assisted in a prompt manner. Additionally, you will use the Utah Hunt Planner to help hunters with unit boundary questions and also assist hunters with the hunt application processes, bear bait stations, and checking in their bobcats, cougars, black bears, martens and swans.

Wahweap Hatchery Manager
