WHITE BEAR LAKE, MN – Wildlife Forever and Title Sponsor Bass Pro Shops are thrilled to announce the winners of the 2022 Art of Conservation Fish Art Contest. Winners of the contest were selected from over 4,300 entries from 42 US states and 43 countries. The Fish Art Contest is free to enter and uses art, science, and creative writing to foster connections to the outdoors and inspire the next generation of stewards. Students in kindergarten through 12th grade create original illustrations of a fish of their choice as well as a one-page creative writing piece.
Artists competed for state, national and international recognition, as well as specialty award categories including the Guy Harvey Shark Award, International Game Fish Association Conservation Award, Invader Crusader Award, and Western Native Trout Award. Participants also submitted essays eligible for state awards and the Fish Habitat Writing Award.
We deeply appreciate every piece of artwork that was submitted and thank our young artists for sharing their work with us. International 1st place winners, state essay winners, and the Richard M Hart Educator of the Year award will be announced Friday, June 10th.
