Williams Launches All-New Culinary Knife Collection

Chris Williams and Williams Co. are launching a new line of culinary knives to complement the company's current portfolio of hunting, fishing and everyday-carry knives.

Birmingham, AL — Chris Williams and Williams Co. are launching a new line of culinary knives to complement the company’s current portfolio of high-quality hunting, fishing and everyday-carry knives. The initial launch includes two distinct designs, each available in four colors.

The Big Chef is a professional-grade knife with a versatile design that makes it perfect for both chefs and the home-cooking enthusiast. With a 9-inch broad blade and an ergonomic design, the Big Chef is ideal for chopping, slicing and dicing practically anything from vegetables to tough meats. The shape of the knife’s blade allows it to rock on the cutting board with ease as it makes each cut. At 13.75 inches in overall length and a weight of 11.65 ounces, this knife is as comfortable in the hand as it is capable of taking on tasks big and small. The Elmax steel used in the construction of this workhorse features all the high-end qualities of the latest industry super steels, including long-lasting edge retention, ease of sharpening and reliable corrosion resistance with reasonable care. The handle is made of super-tough G-10 material and comes in four colors — White, Sea Foam, Black and Blue/Gray. Each Big Chef comes with a molded KYDEX sleeve for blade protection during storage and safety during travel. The retail price will be $199.

The Petty will quickly establish itself as the most useful tool in your kitchen. Its 5-inch blade and ergonomic design make it a jack of all trades. The knife’s versatile design allows it to easily peel, slice and trim those delicate cuts on small fruits and vegetables, yet the knife retains the strength to bone meats and rock and chop with ease. Similar to a paring knife but only better, the Petty strikes a perfect balance of power and precision. At 9.25 inches in overall length and weighing 5.8 ounces, it’s light as a feather with excellent maneuverability. Like the rest of Williams’ culinary line, the Petty is made with Elmax steel featuring all the high-end qualities of the latest industry super steels. It features long-lasting edge retention, ease of sharpening and reliable corrosion resistance with reasonable care. The handle is made of super-tough G-10 material and comes in four colors — White, Sea Foam, Black and Blue/Gray. Each of Williams’ Petty knives comes with a molded KYDEX sleeve for blade protection during storage and safety during travel. The retail price will be $129. Both the Big Chef and the Petty come with a limited lifetime guarantee.

In addition to the new culinary knives, Williams has launched a standing magnetic knife holder/display and a dual-sided cutting board. The company also plans to introduce three additional culinary knives this fall to complement the Big Chef and Petty.

“I have been working on these designs for several years now,” said Chris Williams, owner of Williams. “I went through a lot of prototypes before landing on these two designs to launch our culinary series. I wanted to come out of the gates with knives that have versatility but also look great at the same time. I really think we have something special, and I am excited to see how our customers respond.”
