Tampa, FL – The International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX), North America’s premier technical trade event for the recreational marine industry, announced a collection of Pavilions and Specialty Areas designed to make learning opportunities across the 2026 Show more focused, efficient and actionable.
Located throughout the Tampa Convention Center and waterfront, these curated destinations bring related products, technologies, companies and programming together, helping marine professionals find what matters to their work faster. The 2026 lineup spans next-generation propulsion, marine electronics, composites, global market access, safety and standards, emerging businesses, career development, live on-water experiences, and more.
Together, the focused areas give boatbuilders, designers, engineers, manufacturers, distributors and service professionals practical starting points for evaluating solutions, meeting the companies and experts behind them, and making the most of their time at IBEX.
“IBEX brings an extraordinary range of people, products and ideas together, and these focused areas help attendees turn that scale into a more intentional experience,” said Mary Velline, IBEX Show Director. “Whether someone is comparing propulsion technologies, looking for guidance on standards, meeting a potential international partner or seeing a system perform on the water, there is a destination built around that need. The result is more useful discovery, stronger conversations and more opportunities to move projects, and the industry overall, forward.”
Six Pavilions will anchor product and industry discovery at IBEX 2026:
- Next-Gen Power & Performance Pavilion: A destination for technologies redefining how boats operate and perform, including electric and hybrid propulsion, advanced batteries and energy storage, alternative fuels, sustainable power solutions and integrated systems.
- International Pavilion: Developed in collaboration with Metstrade, the International Pavilion brings international marine companies together in one dedicated area, giving attendees an efficient way to discover new products, technologies and suppliers entering the U.S. market. Participating companies will also benefit from targeted education, curated networking and direct connections with U.S. distributors and independent sales representatives. Content and programming supported by the National Marine Representatives Association (NMRA) and Marine Marketers of America (MMA) will create additional opportunities to establish partnerships, strengthen market knowledge and expand business relationships.
- Compliance, Standards & Education Pavilion: Leading organizations and technical experts will provide direct access to resources supporting marine safety, standards, certification, training and best practices. The pavilion complements IBEX Pre-Conference sessions and the Technical Education Conference, connecting classroom learning with the organizations and expertise available on the Show floor.
- Electronics Pavilion, sponsored by NMEA: Explore marine electronics companies and technologies that support the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) for inclusion in the pavilion, giving attendees added confidence in the solutions represented. Exhibitors are working alongside industry leaders, standards organizations and regulators to advance performance, compatibility and successful implementation across today’s increasingly connected vessels.
- Composites Pavilion: Where boatbuilding begins. This dedicated pavilion brings together the materials, machinery, technologies and expertise behind today’s boats, from advanced composites and resins to infusion equipment, production processes, repair and maintenance. Attendees can explore innovations supporting lighter, stronger construction, greater production efficiency and more sustainable manufacturing.
- Start-Up Pavilion: Presented in collaboration with Yachting Ventures, this showcase will introduce emerging marine companies, new technologies, product launches and demonstrations, giving attendees an early look at ideas shaping the future of boating. The Start-Up Pitch Competition will take place Tuesday, October 6, from 1-2:30 p.m. in Room 107–109 on the first floor, where emerging marine technology companies will compete for industry recognition, investor attention and funding opportunities.
The focused experience extends beyond the Pavilions through Specialty Areas, lounges and programming that bring products, people and ideas to life:
- Main Stage & IBEX Lounge: Newly relocated to a prominent waterfront setting in the third-floor exhibit hall of the Tampa Convention Center, the Main Stage will bring timely industry insight, new ideas and broader conversations directly to the Show floor. Free and open to all registered attendees and exhibitors, programming will include The Business of Boatbuilding, Exhibitor Tech Talks, Marine Innovations, panel discussions and presentations addressing emerging technologies, market trends, leadership, workforce development and business strategy. Adjacent to the Main Stage, the new IBEX Lounge will offer a comfortable waterfront setting where attendees can continue conversations, meet with colleagues or pause between sessions. Together, the spaces create a central gathering place where attendees can hear new perspectives, process what they have discovered across the Show and turn inspiration into meaningful discussion.
- The IBEX Docks: Marine innovation moves into its natural environment through live on-water demonstrations, vessel testing, large equipment and propulsion displays, and direct marina access. The Docks give attendees a firsthand look at systems and technologies in action while creating opportunities for deeper conversations with the companies behind them.
- IBEX Emerging Marine Leaders Lounge: IBEX’s Emerging Marine Leaders program returns in 2026 with a dedicated on-site lounge and a schedule of programs and sessions developed with and sponsored by Boating Industry. Emerging Marine Leaders is IBEX’s year-round workforce and leadership development program for professionals entering, advancing within or transitioning into the recreational marine industry. At the Show, the lounge will serve as a welcoming home base for education, mentorship, networking and career conversations designed to help participants build meaningful relationships and strengthen their connection to the industry. Featured programming includes the EML Networking Reception on Tuesday, October 6, at 4 p.m., featuring recognition of Boating Industry’s 40 Under 40 and Women Making Waves honorees, and Coffee & Connections on Thursday, October 8, from 9-10 a.m., where emerging leaders can connect with industry VIPs and experienced marine professionals for informal mentoring, career insight and conversation.
- Innovation Way: Innovation Way celebrates the products, technologies and people advancing the future of the recreational marine industry. The dedicated showcase brings together all 2026 Innovation Awards entries, giving attendees a concentrated look at the newest products and practical advancements across boatbuilding, marine systems, materials, equipment and manufacturing. Innovation Award winners will be announced during the Industry Breakfast on Tuesday morning, after which attendees can explore the full field of entries and see the award-winning products firsthand. More than a product display, Innovation Way offers opportunities to understand the challenges these solutions were designed to address and connect directly with the innovators, engineers and product teams behind them. Attendees can continue the conversation during the Innovation Awards Meet & Greet and celebratory toast from 2:30-3 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, creating an opportunity to meet participating companies, ask questions and recognize the ideas influencing what comes next for the industry.
Trade Routes Extend Focused Discovery Across the Show
IBEX Trade Routes help attendees find relevant exhibitors and solutions across the entire Show floor, including companies located outside the dedicated Pavilions. Each curated route organizes participating exhibitors around a specific area of interest, making it easier to plan an efficient path through the Show and identify companies attendees may not otherwise encounter.
Attendees can explore the routes through the online IBEX Show Planner, add participating exhibitors to their personalized schedule and access their plans on-site through the IBEX 2026 mobile app.
The 2026 Trade Routes include:
- Marina & Yard Trade Route: Connects marina, boatyard, service, repair and refit professionals with exhibitors offering relevant products, equipment and operational solutions.
- Sustainable Technology Trade Route: Highlights technologies and solutions supporting more efficient systems, responsible manufacturing and the continued advancement of marine sustainability.
